We had lunch at Elliot’s at Oakvale. The food was simply delicious. Must try the chicken pot pie and the calamari rings (large rings). The best homemade tasting food we have had in quite a while. Lovely venue next to Oakvale winery(excellent wines) and the service was friendly and prices were not too expensive. Good value.

Excellent Coffee here Came in & ordered a soy cappuccino. Such beautiful grounds & area here, would have definitely sat outside if it wasn’t for the cold. My partner & I had a little chuckle over the ‘best coffee in the valley’ noted on the menu, but we were pleasantly surprised with our coffees! Will definitely return when in the valley!

A small gem in the middle of the Hunter Valley vineyards. Mellissa and Steve take great pride in ensuring their guests have a wonderful dining experience. Our car club The LOST Fraternity had breakfast there today and all in attendance would highly recommend this venue to anyone who wants fine food with attentive hosts in a picturesque location.

The fish and chips as well as the calamari, were absolutely delightful and delicious. We haven’t had fish or calamari as fresh and tasty as that in a very long time. The cafe has a fresh and inviting atmosphere where you can sit, relax and enjoy your meal with a glass of Oakvale wine. Highly recommended! Thank you Elliott’s at Oakvale for your hospitality!

Believe the hype - this is the best coffee in the HV. Great service and food . Relaxed for a few hours over brunch and not pushed out or rushed. Beautiful outlook over their vineyard. The Bellini Prosecco chaser from the Oakvale Cellar Door (attached to the cafe) was great too .

A Serene Spot with Great Food We stumbled on Elliotts when searching for places in the Hunter with great coffee and food. The atmosphere is calm and peaceful, with plenty of space to sit and enjoy the surroundings. The food is fresh and tasty, with simple, well-made options for breakfast or lunch. The coffee is good too—smooth and not overly strong. It’s an easy place to spend some time soaking up the sunshine or people watching as they come and go from Elliotts or Oakvale’s cellar door. Definitely worth a visit, especially with a breakfast bagel to die for!
